Alcohol assessment and interventions
This service is tried and tested, reasonably priced, easy to access, efficient and importantly, completely confidential.
Llamau have used this service to support and assist a staff member. We Found the assessment process to be professional, confidential and helpful. I would recommend this service to other organisations and their staff
- Francis Beecher, Chief Executive, Llamau
How the service works
- If you have a member of staff who you suspect may be experiencing difficulties because of their alcohol or substance use, telephone us in the first instance to make an appointment. We can arrange to call at the place of employment to conduct an assessment.
- Once the appointment has been arranged, please complete the referral form and send it to us.
- The referred employee will receive a professional assessment regarding their alcohol use and a written report will be sent to the employer, with a copy to the employee. The report will advise whether the individual has an alcohol problem and if so, will make recommendations regarding the course of action to be taken.
- If treatment and interventions are recommended, it is entirely up to your company as to whether you follow the recommended course of action. Please refer to our Intervention options and price guides. It is up to the company to decide whether they or the employee should pay for treatment. Download: Intervention Options Price Guide
Useful stuff:
- It is advisable to talk to the individual first about the course of action you would like to take.
- If the person does not have a problem or exaggerates the extent of their drinking, at least you have been seen to be a good employer.
Please note there is a charge for the assessment service, details of which can be found on the referral form. There is also a charge for intervention options.
