Way Beyond Blue – Alcohol Detoxification Service
Our community detox service is a relatively unique service. People who apply are assessed for their suitability and, if accepted, will be asked to obtain co-operation from their GP. Individuals are asked to spend time at one of our centres on a daily basis, usually for a period of one week.
We pride ourselves on the fact that our waiting times for the service are relatively short. In addition, the detox service provides an excellent foundation for other interventions, particularly for those people who cannot stop drinking before they start a personalised programme; it is also suitable for those individuals who do not require a high level of medical intervention, normally provided by hospitals for example.
