Volunteering

There are a number of ways you can assist our work in the capacity of a volunteer. These include:

· Becoming a member of the organisation

· Joining our Board of Management

· Becoming an unpaid (expenses only) member of staff.

Membership of Penyrenfys

Pen yr Enfys is a registered charity and a limited company. By joining us you will be able to attend and vote at AGM’s and EGM’s of the Company, stand for election to the Board of Management. This means you assist the Company in its charitable work, show support for the work we are doing and have a responsibility to ensure we do things correctly. Additionally we offer members a regular mailing, updating them on the work we do.

Most importantly you will be showing that you support the people we work with, many of them individuals who are amongst the most vulnerable in our population.

Membership of the Board of Management of Pen yr Enfys

To become a member of the Board of Management you first have to be a member of the Company. If, after joining the Company you feel you can provide the skills the Board requires, you can put yourself forward for election to the Board. As a member you can play a part in developing the Organisation, its services and help set the strategic framework towards which the Organisation will work.

Membership of the Board does demand an element of dedication in attending regular meetings and a commitment to the needs of our vulnerable service users.

Volunteer Workers

Do you have free time you wish to use to good effect? Have you skills you can put to good use? Do you want to learn new skills and gain new experiences?

If any of the above apply to you then we may be able to assist. We are constantly looking for volunteers to assist in our work. At Pen yr Enfys all volunteers are treated in the same way as staff. After an interview to decide where best to start you in the Organisation you will receive a full induction and on going training. This can be a first step to a fulfilling new career or the opportunity to do something worthwhile with your spare time, it doesn't matter which.

If you have the interest and inclination we can ensure you a fulfilling role within our projects and we pay expenses so it won’t cost you anything.
