Peer mentoring

Have you had a substance or alcohol misuse problem in the past and would like to support someone else in that person? Becoming a volunteer Peer Mentor will give you that opportunity. You will receive 12 weeks OCN training and become part of our team. Our staff team support clients coming to the end of their treatment and help to shape their next steps in terms of employment, training or volunteering. As a volunteer Peer Mentor, you will build upon your own experiences of substance misuse and support clients in a holistic sense on their journey back into society. You will support clients with 1-2-1 work setting personal goals, as well as helping them with application forms and lending an ear to them when they need to talk through any problems. This is a very rewarding voluntary position, which will give our clients the confidence and motivation to reintegrate back into society. The service is funded through the European Social Fund and run in a partnership between Pen yr Enfys and Kaleidoscope. By joining our team you will be making a positive impact on people’s lives.
