The Fitz ‘Drop in’

Pen yr Enfys encourages people who have, or might be developing alcohol or drug problems, to eat healthily. The people we support not only grow their own food on their own allotment, but they plan menus and cook meals for their colleagues at the Fitz café bar in Cardiff. The food is both nutritious and real value for money.

“I love working behind the snack bar at the Fitz, it gives me so much confidence. I get a lot of pleasure from meeting and interacting with others”
Azam, volunteer

DIY task team

Pen yr Enfys also support talented and skilled individuals who make up a DIY ‘task team’ who make a huge difference to the quality of their surroundings, and that of others. They bring business development and DIY skills such as paining, decorating, small repairs, cleaning and gardening to the mix.

Peer Mentoring

People supported by Pen yr Enfys are being encouraged to take part in a peer mentoring scheme. We are broadening people’s employment opportunities and helping them get back into employment.
